GX introduces embedded rich xperience

Rich customer experience is proving to be of much greater importance since it was made clear that a good online customer experience has a direct influence on your website’s conversion rates. In addition, your websites become more attractive and dynamic and deliver a better user experience resulting in an increased rate of returning visitors. However, the focus of these improvements is solely on the frontend presentation where information control and integration is neglected , necessary to drive higher traffic and conversion rates. In GX WebManager 970, the newest release of the Enterprise Web Content Management platform, GX introduces Embedded Rich Xperience which enables the control and integration of rich user experiences. The Embedded Rich Xperience enables organizations to increase the overall customer experience and increase conversion rates.

Websites that empower users to chose, manage, add and reuse content have proven to be very successful gaining high customer experience ratings. Websites controlling the boundaries by which users are allowed to chose, manage, add and reuse a subset of content and have integrated the functional processes within their Web platform have proven to be more successful in generating traffic and conversion rates. Embedding and controlling customer engagement is considered a logical next step in this evolution of rich customer experience. In release 970 of its Enterprise Web Content Management platform GX introduces Embedded Rich Xperience which allows organizations to embed their Rich Internet Applications (RIA) and AJAX applications in the GX WebManager platform. This Embedded Rich Experience allows users, editors and developers to fully benefit from all the RIA and AJAX features in a controlled Web Content Management Platform. Moreover, GX provides two applications based on Embedded Rich Xperience: the Rich Xperience Dashboard to create rich dashboards similar to iGoogle and Netvibes and the Rich Xperience Forms.

Other enhancements of GX WebManager 970 include Content Lifecycle Management (Audit Trail and Notifications), Authentication (LDAP/Active Directory), Infrastructure (IBM Websphere support) and improvements which are part of the Ease of Development program.
